Coco Beach Resort

Behind the facade of this resort in the middle of the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip lies a tropical beach paradise waiting to be discovered. Coco Beach was the first resort to open along the strip back in 1995, and the French-German couple who set it up still run it today. It attracts a high number of repeat customers, many of them German, who stay for longer periods.

The resort has 28 wooden-style bungalows and three villas spread throughout spacious grounds with palm trees. All have private terraced areas that face the beach, and in order to promote the resort's relaxation philosophy, none of the simple yet comfortable rooms have TV. Instead, the resort has a large library of books that you can read in the comfortable, king-size hammocks strung around the gardens, or in the chaise lounge chairs on the beach under their signature yellow-hat umbrellas. Children will enjoy the slide, swing, seesaw and trampoline.

The subtle marine themes of the rooms carry over into the family-friendly, beachside Paradise Beach Club ("PBC") restaurant, which is also the buffet breakfast area. It offers a large range of western and Asian dishes, with a barbecue extravaganza every evening during the high season. Try the pork claypot or Vietnamese hotpot.

The Champa Restaurant provides a more formal dinner setting with its delightful décor of polished floorboards and brick archways. Here you can pair French, Vietnamese and fusion dishes with a good selection of reasonably priced wines.

For afternoon or sunset drinks, head to the cozy Beach Bar, where you can also get snacks between 10am and 5pm. Rent kite surfing gear or sign up for a course next door.

For evening drinks there's Dany's Pub, the only 'real' pub along the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip with darts, a pool table, and chess, domino, backgammon and poker tables. It screens football matches and other sporting events on its 70-inch plasma TV.

Coco Beach Resort offers honest, family-friendly relaxation. No wonder many of the guests keep coming back for more.

Allezboo Beach Resort & Spa

Allezboo is at the western edge of the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip, and as such it offers a level of peace and quiet that can be lacking from accommodation in the busier sections. It also has one of the widest beaches along the entire strip and offers breathtaking views of the ocean. Along with an attractive, well-maintained garden, it is an ideal place for relaxation, and the perfect getaway from the chaos of modern life.

The moment you walk into the inviting lobby with its interesting little boutique, you're struck by the combination of elegant French colonial architecture and unpretentious Vietnamese design that continues through the resort, including the 60 rooms and two beachfront villas. All rooms have private balconies and gorgeous views, and unite style with modern conveniences. Each luxury accommodation is fully equipped with modern amenities to satisfy all your needs.

Breakfast is served in pleasant, airy surroundings on the upper-deck restaurant overlooking the ocean. Dinner options include Italian/Western and Vietnamese/Asian dishes, with a seafood barbecue buffet every Saturday. The Hué-style bar behind the pool at the beach is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks.

Enjoy a massage, scrub, wrap or even a haircut in the delightful Lotus Spa, where large windows bring in the greenery.

This award-winning resort has a good price/quality ratio, and a reputation for excellent service.

Blue Ocean Resort Phan Thiet

Under international management, the well-maintained Blue Ocean Resort is a haven from the bustle of busy Vietnam. Boasting the best beach along the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip, it is the ideal place to rejuvenate under a golden sun while you enjoy the colourful spectacle of dozens of kite surfers. Tall poles on the beach ensure that the surfers don't encroach too closely.

The resort nestles in 1.8 hectares of beautiful landscaped gardens, designed in harmony with the lush, natural environment, providing an oasis from the vibrant street scene of the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip located conveniently on its doorstep.

Blue Ocean Resort attracts many European guests during the high season between October and April, and Vietnamese guests during the low season, while the lack of tour groups ensures a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere throughout.

Along with the resort's spacious accommodation and comprehensive food and beverage facilities, the day spa with a range of treatments provides the perfect complement to this dazzling beach scene.
