A library and activities room are also part of the Bamboo Village experience.

Sunsea Resort

Sunsea is a small, boutique resort that is both charming and quiet, yet centrally located on the busy Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip. It was fully renovated in 2012 with high-quality materials, including marble, slate and granite imported from Italy and beautiful local wood species.

This tropical paradise comprises 15 rooms and bungalows that are refreshingly simple but with upmarket fixtures and added touches of luxury. Each room has a balcony and combines thatched roofs with lacquer and wood accents, melding tropical Asian and French styles. The beautiful, round bungalows have furniture custom-made to follow the curves, and large, open bathrooms that must be seen to be believed.

The resort is all about quality, which extends to the service provided by the experienced and loyal staff.

The beachfront Sukhothai Grill restaurant next to the beautiful pool serves the best Thai dishes along the Ham Tien-Mui Ne Strip, as well as tasty Vietnamese and European meals. The atmosphere here at night is magical with coloured lighting, the floodlit pool and occasional torches on the beach.

A number of recreational activities are available at the resort and sports equipment can be purchased or rented.

Hoang Ngoc Resort

Most visitors to Hoang Ngoc (Oriental Pearl) Resort are repeat guests looking for a retreat from their daily lives. It is one of the oldest resorts in the area, and its mature trees and plants provide a very pleasant garden setting.

With good facilities and activities for all the family, the resort offers one of the best quality-to-price ratios in its category. Rooms have beach, garden or swimming pool views. Unfortunately the beach here has been washed away, but the pleasant environment more than makes up for this and you can still take to the water.

The affordable restaurant offers international as well as Vietnamese cuisine. With daily drink specials, the bar is a great place for sundowners. It is also one of the few resorts to offer meeting and banquet facilities.

Thuy Thuy Cottages

A quick walk across the road to Mui Ne beach, this cozy family-run resort has 7 comfortable cottages. Relax in one of their spacious hammocks, have a sunset drink in a thatched roof gazebo or cool off in their pool.

Cham Villas

This is a boutique luxury resort run by a German/Vietnamese couple that envelops its visitors in a world removed from everything else. Intimacy and privacy are key here, and all 21 villas have been arranged so that each is hidden from the others. The rooms themselves, with thatched roofs and open bathrooms, are meticulously clean, and the attention to detail is outstanding. Cham-style statuettes and paraphernalia adorn the beautifully maintained, lush gardens. The restaurant serves Vietnamese and western food at reasonable prices, and overlooks the stunning pool. The beach bar serves small snacks. The Ratinger Löwe restaurant next door is claimed by some to be the best German restaurant in Vietnam. Cham Villas was selected as ‘Vietnam’s finest hotel 2009’ by the Vietnam Travel website.

Ocean Dunes Resort Phan Thiet

The hotel also boasts tennis courts, a children’s playground, conference facilities and a wide range of leisure activities. Relax or get energized as you enjoy every day at your own pace.

A bountiful daily breakfast buffet is served in The Sea Horse restaurant where you can choose from a wide-ranging selection of Western and Asian specialities. An extensive list of wines from around the world is also available. For delicious cocktails, drinks or light snacks, visit the Beach Bar and Bar-A-Cuda.

Until recently, this resort was known as the DuParc Phan Thiet Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort, but the beautiful, Nick Faldo-designed golf course is making way for a high-end, multi-purpose complex. If you still want to swing your clubs, the Sea Links Golf and Country Club is not far away.
