Vietnam’s Premier Luxury Destination Gives Back
The Ho Tram Strip raises money to help improve the future of the Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu province
Ho Tram, 24 December 2015: The province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu had much to celebrate today, as a charity golf event hosted by The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip and The Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Golf Association raised $25,000, which will be used to help local families in need.
The event, which was held in true Ho Tram Strip style welcomed some of the great and the good from the province to enjoy The World’s Best New Golf Course, but importantly generate vital support for those less fortunate.
“This is a day we have all begun to look forward to in our calendar as it provides us the opportunity to give back,” said Ben Styles – Vice-President Golf & Residential for the Ho Tram Strip and Vice Chair of the BVGA. “As a leader in Vietnam’s hospitality and golf industry, we take great pride and responsibility in leading by example. We couldn’t be happier about the money we have raised today, which will go a long way in providing the desired impact within local communities.”
The funds were generated via a charity auction, where generous donations were made from the Ho Tram Strip. Topping the bill was a unique package for lucky guests to secure a two-night stay during next year’s hotly anticipated Ho Tram Open. Additionally, the package included a place in the coveted pro-am and VIP tickets to the Gala Dinner.
This is the second year running that the Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Golf Association has successfully staged its annual Charity Golf Tournament at The Bluffs and The Grand Ho Tram Strip. The $25,000 raised will be used to support families from Xuyen Moc, Dat Do, Long Son and Chau Duc.
“Days like today remind us all of the importance of supporting our local communities, by working to help those less fortunate than ourselves,” said Ho Tram Strip Executive Chairman, Mr. Michael Kelly. “As a stakeholder in the province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, and one of the biggest employers, we view events like today as not only our corporate duty, but as an opportunity to enhance the lives of those around us and encourage efforts of this nature to help stimulate better living conditions, not only in our province but throughout Vietnam.”
Today marked the last event in the calendar in what has been a year of quite epic proportions for The Ho Tram Strip. The inaugural Ho Tram Open was staged to critical acclaim earlier this month. The premier luxury resort was also recognised by the prestigious World Golf Awards, as The World’s Best New Golf Course, as well as, Vietnam’s Best Golf Course and Best Golf Hotel. Perhaps the icing on the cake however, is the announcement made during the Ho Tram Open, that the Vietnam Golf Association will bring the Vietnam Junior Open 2016 to The Bluffs, giving Vietnam’s very own stars of tomorrow the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the best players in the world.
