Cho Ray Hospital
Founded in 1900, Cho Ray Hospital is the largest general hospital in the city, with 1200 beds. The facility was re-equipped in 1974 with the help of the Japanese government. The hospital has 35 clinical, 11 sub-clinical, and eight functional departments. Yearly, it provides treatment for nearly half a million outpatients and 67,000 inpatients. Chợ Rẫy has many specialties including tropical diseases, urology, oncology, orthopaedics, cardiology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, hepatology, general internal medicine, plastic surgery, physical therapy, etc. However, it is most renowned for its emergency department and neurosurgery/head injury services. There is blood bank where you can go for blood donation.
