Australian International School Vietnam
The Australian International School in Vietnam(AIS) has been a solid choice for every child’s education since the first campus, which initially provided only secondary education opened in 2006. Since then, this school has seen remarkable growth.
Today AIS Vietnam teaches more than 1,300 students representing over 40 nationalities in its three campuses, all located in HCMC’s District 2. The curriculum includes the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme in primary school, the University of Cambridge Secondary Programme in middle school, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in senior school (ages 16 to 19). This curriculum was picked especially to provide the best well- rounded education possible while letting students earn the coveted IB diploma when they graduate (recognised by universities worldwide with a 100% university acceptance rate). Many of the school’s alumni have graduated from the best universities in the world.
AIS prioritizes the quality of their staff in terms of teaching ability, training, and fostering good relationships with students. In fact, 95% of parents have reported that their children are happy and learning at school—a distinctive and surprising number that truly sets them apart. They offer many extracurricular programs to develop “soft skills” which will allow students to easily adapt to any new culture or environment. Dance is a compulsory subject for all secondary students, and AIS even offers EAL classes to support students in English Language learning, as well as a winter school for all students to improve their English speaking skills.
AIS provides some of the city’s best facilities, including a boarding school accommodation for overseas students and students from other provinces in Vietnam. They’ve also recently completed a new Thu Thiem library, a new sports field shade, and a new performing arts space. They also have a dedicated IB center to serve students pursuing the IB diploma.
