Cross cultural marriage is becoming more and more common. While there are many venues where you can host your wedding in Saigon, it is important to take note of the legal documents you need before anything else. This is the first step in getting married in Vietnam

››Documents issued by the competent authority of the foreign country have to be consular legalised (unless authorised to consular legalisation exemption) and translated into Vietnamese in accordance with the Vietnamese regulations;

››Documents issued by the diplomatic agencies of foreign countries in Vietnam have to be consular legalised by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Vietnam Organisation of Foreign Affairs commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

››Document issued by foreign organisations are legalised by Vietnamese consulates in that country. Documents from abroad brought into Vietnam, but not yet legalised, must be legalised by the diplomatic agencies in Vietnam, then consular legalised by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Vietnam Organisation of Foreign Affairs commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
