If you are looking to escape the heat in Saigon, head to one of the city’s swimming pools for some fun. However, if you go on the weekend, be aware that you will be sharing the pool with thousands of Saigonese frolicking in the water to stay cool. If you are wearing board shorts, make sure that you don’t have any metal rings on them as the lifeguards at these parks will not allow you to get on the slides for fear of them being caught on your way down. The quality of the infrastructures may be questionable but there have been no accidents in the past few years. It’s best to be careful and not rush in the crowd. Be sure to bring a hat and some sunscreen, and if you wear a bikini, expect to attract attention.
