Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang is the first Citadines branded apart’hotel in Vietnam which opened on 16 July 2017. Located at the beachfront of one of the most beautiful bays in Vietnam, the property is truly a home away from home in the heart of a modern coastal city.
Arriving in Nha Trang on a late afternoon flight from Ho Chi Minh City, I quickly took an airport cab at the arrival gate to reach Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang. The courteous driver was kind enough to share some local insights with me and even stopped along the way for my pictures.
I arrived at Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang after a 35-minute trip. The apart’hotel is at the corner of Tran Phu and Biet Thu streets, overlooking a city park and the spectacular Nha Trang bay. The property emits a vibrant and friendly atmosphere with paintings of local fishing boats and colorful sofas at the lobby. Greeted by the lovely smiles of the guest service staff, I was quickly checked in and got upgraded to an ocean front studio room. The hotel team informed me that the property had officially opened for reservations just a week ago and this offer was part of their introductory promotion. I decided to stroll around the city first so I left my luggage at the reception for the bellboy to deliver to my room.

The weather was pleasant with a cool sea breeze and the beach was pristine. I slowly walked along the strip and enjoyed the vibrant lifestyle of Nha Trang, from a local couple selling fruits on a motorcycle, to residents flying kites on the shore. I also saw many foreign tourists walking around the town. Quaint shops and eateries were everywhere and are usually crowded during this season. After an hour strolling around town and sampling some nice local dishes, I made it back to the hotel just in time for sunset.
Local arts are seen at the lobby and in the rooms
Even though my room was on the 5th floor, the view was spectacular. I sat on my balcony to take in the sight of the night lights. Towards Nha Trang bay, some locals were still busy in the waters. After taking a long shower, I laid on the comfortable king-sized bed and drifted away.

I woke up early the next morning and decided to unwind at the swimming pool on the 3rd floor. The music seemed to go really well with the feel of the cool water of the pool until it was time to get some food. The buffet breakfast was sumptuous and sophisticated, with choices of international dishes prepared with local ingredients and unsurprisingly, I was impressed.

I spent the rest of my holiday in Nha Trang touring the islands. I visited Po Nagar Cham temple and sampled many delicious local dishes recommended by the local staff I met at Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang. This place has become my favorite getaway haven as I know I could get everything I want here, from swimming, to yoga, to reading books, and making new friends. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family members for their upcoming holidays.
