Market 39 Restaurant

Market 39 unites the best of East and West in what is arguably Ho Chi Minh City’s most popular buffet dining experience, hosted at InterContinental Saigon Hotel.

Sunday Brunch

We all love a good brunch, and Sunday is the day for it. But where to go? InterContinental Saigon’s Market 39 restaurant is notorious for its highly acclaimed Sunday brunch. What makes it special? Well, let’s start with the outstanding food.

Seven open, interactive kitchens showcase the varied sights, sounds and smells of creative international cuisine, as the chefs demonstrate their dexterity and skill in serving up the very best that Western and Asian culinary traditions have to offer.

Open kitchen Market 39

Market 39 specialises in a boutique selection of appetisers, locally sourced and imported seafood, succulent steaks sizzling from the grill and hand-crafted noodles, breads and pastries prepared throughout the day to ensure that every dish arrives on the table fresh and full of flavour.

In addition to the culinary delights, there’s the professional live band that stirs up the atmosphere, as well as the biggest crowd-pleaser of them all: free-flowing world famous Prosecco & Bollinger champagne. Is there a better way to start your day in style than with a sparkling glass of select champagne in your hand? The buffet also comes with a cocktail station that serves the best drinks by some of the best mixologists in town.

With all these assets, Sunday Brunch at Market 39 is the ideal setting for families to get together and indulge.

Breakfast

Breakfast at Market 39 is a hearty affair with a market theme. Seasonal flowers brighten every table, and the long buffet counter is stacked with baskets of warm, soft bread, as well as pancakes, waffles and cold cuts. There’s also a noodle station offering the local specialty pho, prepared with prime-quality meat.

Diners can choose from a Continental or American-style breakfast with farm-fresh eggs cooked in any style. Options include scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, herbs and cream cheese, and either boiled or poached with tomato, bacon, wild mushrooms and chicken sausage. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available on-demand alongside the healthy juice counter, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee, teas and miniature jams to spread on just-baked croissants and continental breads.

A breakfast at Market 39 is the perfect start to any day, whether you’re preparing to present in the boardroom or gearing up to explore the sights of the city.

Lunch

At lunchtime, the a la carte Western and Asian menus are top-notch for every diners. With their talented culinary team always at your service and warmly yet elegant atmosphere, Market 39 is the perfect choice for casual dining with friends and family or better yet, a business catch up with your partners. Even better, they also have a Business Set Lunch with free flow of iced tea for your absolute enjoyment.

Couple Market 39

Dinner

Come dinnertime, the seafood buffet spread grows even more lavish with platters of oysters, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi and succulent king prawns. Delectable, hot buffet dishes simmer quietly beneath rows of gleaming metal lids – all of the international and Asian-style grilled steaks, lamb and seafood options are rotated daily – and are complemented by an a la carte menu that marries the best of the Occident with the Orient.

Seafood Market 39

Market 39's noodle station serves a variety of noodles from Vietnam and other countries including local, traditional favourites pho bo (beef noodle soup) and pho ga (chicken noodle soup).

And don’t forget the desserts, with a chocolate fountain and more than 30 types of cakes, ice-cream and Vietnamese sweet soups that ensure guests an enjoyable end to a delicious evening.

Cold dishes at Market 39 include a tartare of fresh and smoked Atlantic salmon with tomato dip and avocado mousse, or traditional Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, crispy bacon and croutons topped with shaved parmesan cheese.

For those who want something hot and finger-licking good, creamy lobster bisque soup with scallops, mussels and shrimps, and roasted beef tenderloin or grilled salmon with a choice of mushroom, black pepper or gravy sauce are Market 39's signature dishes.

A Monthly Friday Special

There are not many who can say that they know their ways when it comes to Singaporean cuisine. Every last Friday of the month, Market 39 strives to put things right. During an evening full of Singaporean delicacies and flavours, you can discover more than 20 signature dishes originating from the young city state, reaching from chili crab and fish curry to chicken rice and kaya toast. All this comes with the only appropriate beverage: a free flow of Singapore-produced Tiger beer.

Market 39 has something for everyone who is willing to pay the price for supreme quality. The Sunday brunch at InterContinental Saigon remains unrivalled in Ho Chi Minh City and is among the must-dos for local residents. Just pick the right occasion – a birthday perhaps, or a promotion – and enjoy the food and drinks.

Local insight: As Market 39’s Sunday brunch is a favourite for local residents, it’s best to book in advance to save your spot.
