Artinus 3D Art Museum

Ever fancied being photographed at the edge of Bitexco Tower’s helipad? How about straddling a giant crocodile, touching a tyrannosaurus rex and posing with an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh, all on the same day, without leaving Ho Chi Minh City?

Now you can at Artinus 3D Art Museum, Ho Chi Minh City’s first 3D art gallery located in District 7.

Built in 2015, the 4,000-square-metre museum houses hundreds of 3D paintings created by Korean artists use distance, shadows, multi-directional painting techniques, refraction and reflections to create optical illusions. More importantly, you’ll be able to get very interesting photographs for your next Facebook profile picture right here.

There are nine themed zones to explore: Ocean; Animal; Masterpiece; Vietnam; Egypt; Fairy; Giant; Strange House and Love.

The affordable ticket prices and various promotional programmes such as discounted pricing, free photo printing and gift vouchers are offered intermittently throughout the year. The staff are also extremely friendly and will help you take photographs if you ask them to, at no additional cost.

Artinus 3D Art Museum is open everyday, including public holidays. They also host special events every few months, with details available on their website. Wifi is free and always available, and there is no limit to the number of hours you can stay to soak in the sights, whether you’re alone, with a loved one or with your family.

What Others Say:

Artinus 3D Art Museum scored 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor and 4.6 out of 5 on their own Facebook page with most reviews heaping praise on the artworks, as well as the ingenuity of the concept. The only issue about the venue is its relative distance away from the city centre, as it’s tucked away in a quiet part of District 7—a 20 minute ride from District 1.

City Pass Guide Says:

The museum is a visual treat. Even if you’re not there to take pictures, just viewing the artworks can be quite mind blowing. You will definitely spend hours doing silly poses and having lots of fun. If you have kids, this will be one of the best places in the city to bring them to. However, if you’re not familiar with District 7, a GPS might come in handy, as the museum is located a distance away from the main road.

Local Insight

The “Photo Point” on the museum’s floors give you the best suggestion on where to take the picture. It also has a sample photograph attached to it, giving you an idea of what your picture will look like.

Entry: Monday to Friday: VND200,000 (Standard), VND150,000 (Priority) | Weekends & Public Holidays: VND250,000 (Standard), VND200,000 (Priority)
