Meet your tour guide at the meeting point (of 23 Nguyen Khac Nhu, Ba Dinh Dist, Hanoi) for a short introduction and safety briefing. Leave the built up streets of Hanoi via a scenic road winding through the city’s Old Quarter, through the urban outskirts and into the countryside. We pass the Hanoi’s oldest bridge–The Long Bien which was built by the famous Eiffel Construction company since 1902.
Experience the beauty of Vietnam’s scenery as you cycle through back roads and along banks of the Red River. See local villagers at work as your guide points out traditional rural activities and sights. We will stop at a famous local artist house to study some popular trends of Vietnamese temporary fine arts. The artist is most well-known for installation, body and performance arts. You will have chance to feel them all in here, at his 2000 square meters estate.
Continue cycling through the relaxing banana and vegetable farming area in the middle of the Red River Island. There will be lots of opportunities to stop and take photos of the surrounds as well as the locals working on their farms.
We then head off to the pottery village of Quang Ba where ceramics are stacked waiting to be taken into Hanoi by bicycle. The route also takes you pass the Red River’s floating houses and fields of colorful flowers. Depending on the time you may get to see the locals picking the flowers which are then taken into Hanoi.
Continue cycling on the back road along the river to the famous West Lake where you can enjoy some cup of coffee or green tea while enjoying the magnificent sunset. Cycle back to original meeting point where your guide will then assist you to get a taxi to your hotels. Trip ends.
