Without any doubt the quickest and most convent way to get around the city is by motorbike. What at first seems like complete madness is actually not as bad as one would think. Traffic tends to move slowly here and that makes riding a motorbike, a pleasant experience. However, forget anything that you have ever been taught about road etiquette and lane discipline. New motorbikes hit the streets here at a rate of 750 per day and believe it or not, that is down 25% on a year ago. There are over 6 million motorbikes registered in Saigon, and many more unregistered.
