Policy for construction and trading of infrastructure of Vietnam-Singapore III project adopted

Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc has adopted policy for investment in construction and trading of infrastructure of Vietnam-Singapore III Industrial Park (IP).

The project covers 1,000 ha in Hoi Nghia commune, Tan Uyen town and Tan Lap commune, Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province. It will be implemented in 50 years with a total capital of VND6.407 trillion. The PM assigned the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee to guide investors to continue finalizing the project in accordance with opinions of ministries and departments; and conduct the escrow to ensure the project be implemented on the land allocated or leased by the State, pursuant to Article 42 of the Law on Investment and Article 27 of the government’s Decree No. 118/2015/ND-CP dated November 12th, 2015 detailing and guiding the execution of some articles of the investment law.

Winter Concert in HCM City

A "Winter concert" celebrating the 60th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music will be held on December 12.

The event will be a special concert for music lovers who love the vocals. Lai Chau province seizes 17 cakes of heroin

The Board of Directors of the Lai Chau provincial Police on November 28th praised and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in successfully breaking an illegal drug transportation and trafficking case, apprehending one person and seizing 17 cakes of heroin.

At 13h10 of November 26th, the authorities arrested Vang A Sua, born in 1994 from Phi Linh hamlet, Si Pa Phin commune, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province and seized 17 cakes of heroin, weighing over 5.7kg, a motorbike and some related tools and documents. Nearly 10,000 firms established in November

As many as 9,918 enterprises with total registered capital of VND87.1 trillion (USD3.83 billion) were established nationwide in November, according to the Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 28th.

The figures represent a fall of 3.8 percent in volume and an increase of 6.8 percent in value compared with the previous month. They push the number of newly-established enterprises in the first 11 months of this year to 101,683, and total registered capital to VND797.7 trillion (USD35.1 billion), a year-on-year increase of 17.1 percent and 48.1 percent, respectively. The average registered capital of a new firm reached VND7.8 billion (USD343,200), up 26.5 percent. Investment in coastal road through Nam Dinh approved

The Ministry of Transport has received the nod from Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc to invest in a coastal road section through Nam Dinh province.

The PM asked the Ministry of Transport to direct the finalization of investment procedures in accordance with legal regulations and to coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Ministry of Finance to define capital source and the capital balance capability to realize the project.

Earlier, on June 23rd, the PM issued Document 878/TTg-KTN approving the policy of building the coastal road route through Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh localities. Da Nang to put Hop on Hop off buses into operation

(CPV) - The Da Nang city People’s Committee has agreed with the Ministry of Transport’s policy of allowing Thanh Do Investment Development and Construction Joint Stock Company to operate one and two-floor Hop on Hop off buses in the city.

Accordingly, there will be two routes, including N1 for two-floor Hop on Hop off buses with the following route: airport parking - Duy Tan street - September 2nd street - Rong bridge street- Ly Nam De street - Tran Hung Dao street - frontage road to Vincom - Pham Van Dong street - Vo Nguyen Giap street - Truong Sa street - Cocobay - Truong Sa street - An Nong street - Co Co bridge - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street - Tran Dai Nghia street - Le Van Hien street - Tien Son bridge, September 2nd street - Duy Tan street - airport parking.

Ly Son greets over 150,000 tourist arrivals

Ly Son island in the central province of Quang Ngai has greeted more than 150,000 tourist arrivals so far this year, grossing a turnover of more than VND100 billion, reported the Ly Son district People’s Committee.

Vietnam to switch to bio-fuel nation-wide

November 30, 2016 - The plan to replace RON92 petrol with E5 bio-fuel is underway and is estimated to take effect from June next year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is working to implement the plan on time and deal with possible problems.

E5 is a mix of A92 petrol (95%) and bio-fuel ethanol (5%). The E5 quality by wholesale and retailers also meet required standards of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology. There has been no complaint from consumers about the quality of E5 fuel. Currently, most of the ethanol is provided by Tung Lam JSC with capacity of 150,000 tonnes per year to mix over three million E5 fuel.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade requested to work with the Ministry of Finance to calculate the prices for the E5 and E10 fuel, develop a mechanism to manage the market and how to use the price stabilisation fund. Ministries, departments and local authorities are asked to popularise the use of bio-fuel to the public. …
