Fujian Chinese Assembly Hall

Opposite 35 Tran Phu, Vietnam |

There are five assembly halls in Hoi An established by different Chinese groups. The Fujian hall is by far the most prominent. Check out the mural, statue and Chinese boat replica which venerate Thien Hau, the goddess who rescues sailors from stormy seas. There are many other artistic and symbolic features in this well-preserved complex which make it well worth a visit.

Local Insight:

Look behind the central altar for the God of Prosperity and mid-wife fairies which purportedly help childless couples conceive.
